At Wesport, we are passionate about helping local education establishments become places where students, staff and parents can become more physically active. Below you will find information and advice for teachers, parents and governors, to help ensure that sport and physical activity adds to your organisations offer and enriches the lives of your students.
We want to keep all those involved in developing PE, School Sport and Physical Activity for whole school improvement up to date with all the latest opportunities, news, information and guidance.
We also work in partnership with Public Health Teams, Healthy School Programmes, Mental Health Support Teams, School Games Organisers and School Sports Partnerships to connect physical literacy into the wider wellbeing agenda.
Healthy Schools Programmes
Please follow the below links to find out more about your local authority award programmes.
We support those schools who choose to look at physical activity for health and wellbeing data through participation in the Active Lives Children and Young People Survey, a free self-audit tool to help understand children's attitudes and behaviours around sport and physical activity. You can find out more including a short video on our page Active Lives Children and Young People Survey
