This academic year Wesport have been supporting the delivery of a number of School Games events across the West of England!
The events have been a huge success and we have put together a round up of results from each of the events.
We would like to congratulate everyone that took part in these events and thank the School Games Organisers that have helped with the smooth running of these events.
Sports hall Athletics Finals
The first of these were the Level 3 finals for Sportshall Athletics (Primary and Secondary) that were held on 31st January at UWE. The event was a huge success and we thank the sports leaders from St Katherine’s school for coming to help.

- Small Primary Schools: Farmborough Primary School
- Large Primary Schools: Crockerne CofE Primary School
- Year 7 Boys: St Katherine’s School
- Year 7 Girls: Churchill Academy
- Year 8 Boys: St Katherine’s School
- Year 8 Girls: Gordano School
Level 3 Girls Netball finals (Secondary)
Next were the Level 3 finals for Girls’ Netball (Secondary), which were held at SGS College on Tuesday 28th March. There was an excellent standard of Netball on show and some great performances!

- Year 7: Wellsway School: 28 v Winterbourne Academy: 19
- Year 8: Backwell School: 15 v Bristol Free School: 24
- Year 9: Redland Green School: 16 v Winterbourne Academy: 55
- Year 10/11: Writhlington School: 19 v Winterbourne Academy: 44
Level 3 Girls Netball finals (Primary)
The Level 3 finals for Girl’s Netball (Primary) were held at BGS Sports Ground on Wednesday 19th April. Both tournaments were played with a great atmosphere and with all the School Games Values proudly on display!

- Large Schools: St Bonadventure’s Catholic Primary School, Runners up: Saltford CofE Primary School
- Small Schools: Trinity CofE Primary School, Runners up: All Saints CofE Primary School
Coming up in the summer term, there will be the Level 3 Quadkids Athletics finals held at BGS Sports Ground, a Wheelchair Basketball Event held at UWE and an Inclusive Watersports Festival at All-Aboard Watersports.
