
Wesport’s latest “An Evening With” event welcomes Dr. Paul Stewart to Bristol. Paul is a former Liverpool, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur player with appearances for the England Men’s National Team.
Paul will share his story and his lived experience of abuse growing up in football. Since retiring from the professional game, Paul authored the 2017 book “Damaged” and continues to work tirelessly to promote better safeguarding practices not only in football, but sport as a whole.
Wesport’s Sport Welfare Officers, Bryher and Matt, are delighted to welcome Paul to Bristol. His story is important, and we hope all attendees will take away some vital learnings for their clubs.
This event is part of the South West Club Welfare Festival.
This session is open to everyone who works, volunteers, or participates in sports clubs in the South West of England. It is particularly aimed at the following roles:
- Club Committee Members
- Coaches
- Club Welfare Officers/Club Safeguarding Officers
