The aim of the evening is to make community organisations and sports clubs more aware of some of the key sources of advice and funding available to help with both capital and revenue developments.

More about our experts:

Nick Lockwood, Relationship Manager Facilities and Planning, Sport England, will provide details on Sport England’s new investment programmes, including the Community Asset Fund - a new facilities fund dedicated to enhancing the spaces in local communities that give people the opportunity to be active. How and why Sport England are doing things differently, when they will make decisions, plus tips and advice for developing your project or idea.

Louise Treacher, previously Head of Investment for Sport England, and since 2008 Director of 4George Ltd, has helped organisations find and secure over £3million funding for capital and revenue projects across the South West.

Louise’s session will help clubs and organisations to understand and explore the range of funding options available, how to go about finding out more information, how to identify what is right for your organisation and some quick tips on putting together a good application for grant funders.
